Importance of working on listed buildings
Cheyne Walk is a Grade 2* Listed Building and thus carries with it significant responsibilities on Ballymore Services as the Interior Demolition and enabling works contractor to ensure that the listed status of the building is respected and adhered to at all times.
Description of works
- Interior removal of all soft furnishings, fixtures and fittings. Careful consideration with the client and the design team to reclaim certain elements of the building fabric to be incorporated into the refurbished home.
- Selective demolition of door, window, floor and wall openings, reclaiming the existing brickwork, cleaning, storing and reusing in the refurbishment works.
